Well now a days with the technology we have there shouldn't be any wrongly imprisoned. If they truly are innocent then yes it is a shame. But most of the ones that are there get out only to do another crime and go right back in, maybe we need to make not so comfy there? After all it is supposed to be a punishment. Excellent POV and thought provoking image here! :)

"Well now a days with the technology we have there shouldn't be any wrongly imprisoned." That only goes for cases where technology can uncover what really happened. Not ever case leaves a nice trial of DNA, fired evidence, or reliable eye witnesses. People lie, cops, often over-worked, make mistakes, and juries frequently convict people who they think look guilty, with out fully hearing out the evidence (I remain convinced that racist jurors, not prosecutors or police officers, are the reason blacks are convicted at a higher rate then whites). Does all that mean I think that a huge chunk of the US prison population was put there wrongly? No, I do not. The vast majority of inmates are there because thats exactly where they should be. But dont let all this talk of DNA testing and fancy forensic science make you think that wrongful convictions are now impossible. Some cases come down to whos more credible, the witness or the defendant. Other times, it comes down to how intelligent and unbiased a jury is. Mistakes will happen. The best we can do is work hard to make sure they happen as little as possible, and that when they are made we find out about it and correct them.

The blue tones do bring out the thematic "on ice" nicely.
