Description

My friend and I are collaborating on a group project, and my job is environment. I really like the mood that this lighting creates, but unfortunetly it is too dark for our purpose (my friend created a detailed model and it is too dark to see it here), and I can't think of a good way to increase the illumination without drastically changing the mood (I guess its that age-old problem of liking your art too much, not wanting to change it). I am reworking the scene in an upwright cylindrical chamber, as opposed to this kind of horizontal catwalk we have here. Details: Created and Rendered in Cinema 4D 8.5 Time: 2-hours setup, 30-minutes render Textures were extracted from the UT2004 library.

I think one way to keep the mood you are looking for is to centralize the brighter lights closer to the overhead lighting. This way, you can make them brighter and decrease the overall lighting. This would give it a nice "spotlight" look. I'm not sure what your plans for your friends model are but If it's moving down that corridore, it might look kind of cool as it fades in and out of the light. I hope any of this makes sense. Good luck.
