Description

I've been playing with reflections. I'm posting this to show that is is possible to get Bryce to look like light is reflecting in a mirror, which some people say is possible, but most say isn't. (I think it isn't, I've tried many times without luck to do it) You'll notice the caustic shadows go away from the mirror. The double reflection is due to the light source (which is betweent he vases and the mirror) casting a shadow and the reflection casting a second shadow. You can also see the effect at the bottom corners of the mirror where light is coming from the mirror. Thanks for taking the time to visit and read all this text. The great vases are from freestuff. So sorry, but I can't remember who created them.

The interplay of light in the glass objects is very beautiful. Love that floor texture.

I do not have Bryce, but I have seen renders done in Bryce. This is one of the most beautiful I have yet seen. Had you not told us these were 3D objects, I might have believed this a photograph of real world items. Very well done.

OK, the trick is. It's not a mirror. It's a window and the entire scene (three vases and the wood) are replicated and flipped and positioned to look like a reflection. You're looking through a window, not a mirror.

I love the technique you used to simulate a mirror. A very smart idea! Excellent results.
