Description
I started this full size piece of Gollum, from Lord of the Rings, about 8 months ago, at my sculpture studio in Mission Viejo, CA. I built an alluminum/foam armature, and then used oil based clay to sculpt Smeagol :) It is almost ready to be cast in bronze. I have been asked by the Newline merchandising group to use this piece as a limited collector sculpture for the release of the final DVD in november. What an honor! I'll post a picture of the piece once I get the first bronze back from the foundry.

wow that looks really great , only the inside of his left ellbow bothers me a little bit. looks like he's wearing a shirt of some kind. I can't wait an till the bronze version is uploaded. You must be very proud of your work when it'll go in production for the real deal... keep up the good work.
