Description

I did this as an inspiration for my love of Eygptian art and artifacts. Out of boredom and being pressed for time, I modeled this for my class project and I figured I could share it with you all as well... This time I also included the bowl and the gems, using the image of the Eye of Horus and the Winged Scarab. Rendered using Advanced GI techniques and also HDR to enhance it...As for the scene, I made it even more desolate, telling the story of a person who stole those items you see and died trying to escape... NOTE: THIS IS THE FINAL ONE. I ADDED THE CUP AND DIAMONDS THIS TIME. AND ADD A SKY...YAY! :-)

Well, thanks. I still have to do the bowl filled with diamonds and gems. I also got the inspiration after watching the Mummy Returns...lol

I will soon post an update, this time in an egyptian setting...preferably a desert with abandoned pyramids...

Cool pic but i liked the first one more, maybe you should put this updated textures on the last scene i would like to see them in close up. Keep up the good work.

Well, i agree... I found the reflected plane kind of boring, and I would figure, putting it in an Eygptian setting could tell a better story of the cup's origin... The cup is unchanged I just offset it...I'll probably change it again, probably add a wind storm...

Looks very good... textures on the ground don't do justice to your object models... and I suggest you soften the edges of your shadows just a little bit. :o)
