Description

Yeah, I know. The half-naked-chick-in-the-dungeon's been done and redone as many times as I have hairs on my head. However, those of you who know me, know that I can't paint anything to save my life. This was just a little exercise in painting cloth. Can you tell I still need a LOT of practice? **sigh**

Nathalie, you are SO wrong on that... that's GREAT cloth painting, let alone for someone who rarely paints cloth. I love that and hope you do more of it!!!

Oh, do I ever beg to differ on your views concerning your cloth painting! It is absolutely magnificent! You have the falling of the cloth done so beautifully and it looks so silky. I absolutely love the image and your postwork!

It looks really nice, great job so far... as far as folds and stuff, looks like you've got the hang of that. What's REALLY important to remember is where your light is coming from, so that you can highlight and shadow accordingly, for instance the light in this image is coming from the left, but you have highlights in the front, on the left, on the right, same with shadows. It looks good, but with the correct lighting, it'll look better.

The painting looks GREAT, Nathalie. I like the subdued lighting (very dungeony) and the morose look on her face. Really nice hair, too. :O)
