Who can say what may befall in the heart of the forest in deepest night? In this case the poem came after the image. I actually hear it as a song, but that will have to wait for the day when we can put mp3 files here, lol.
Circle Dance
Call to the woodland Come to the call Answer the summons Come one, come all 'Tis the hour Oh bloom and flower Come forth now To the dance
Sun doth sleep Moon is high Stars do twinkle In velvet sky Whither thou goest On this dark night Here -- to the circle of light
Gather ye spirits -- promenade Whirling wisp Swirling shade Essence of limb, bark and bough In the midst Of the mist Come now
No eyes will see No ears will hear Here in our deeps We need not fear Time to be merry Root and leaf Come all Forget your grief
A ring of stones A swirl in time Oh gnarly root Oh sapling fine Gather now For to chance And circled we shall dance
Circling, circling, circled -- We shall dance!
