The Iliad is considered one of the best stories of all time. It is not known if Homer existed, but certainly someone told it orally at one point and it was written down. It is a great story of the Trojan War, which has, in most recent year, has been proven to have happened. If people want to believe the evidence, that's another story. But it may not have been for a woman. People who have seen the movie Troy, yet haven't read the book, I really encourage it. It's very good, and hard to put down.
