Description
A couple weeks ago, a R'osity artist posted a photo that was a vertical stitch of several forest pictures and a cabin. If that was you, please message me so I can credit you for the idea.
This is my first attempt at stitching. It is not very good. I didn't set the camera to fixed exposure, so as I rotated it into the sun, the exposure changed (lot's of adjustment leyers required). Also, I used a gradient mask left-to-right on the whole thing, as a part of those adjustments; the blockiness in the sky at the left is due to that, I think.
All comments and suggestions are welcome. I'd like to learn how to do this better.
Thanks,
-Don

Nicely done. What camera did you use. I just got a Canon Powershot Pro 1 and it has a stitch capability that I am just starting to play with and would be curious as to how you did this.

Thanks for the compliment, but it isn't really very good, yet. I used a Sony DSC-P71. I did the stitching in Photoshop 6. Each of the eight photos is on a separate layer with a brightness adjustment layer linked to each object layer. The "stitching" was actually just size, brightness and contrast adjustment, with the edges matched. Thanks again, -Don

think you did a pretty good job in putting this 180 degree shot together, fantabulous view, makes one feel as if they're right in the middle... there are several photographers here that have worked with pans, i tried one manually but got discouraged, i know there are programs that you can use that deal specifically with panstitching... you can also ask for help in the forum... :]
