I really like the texturing in this one too. One suggestion I have: it looks like you put some toruses around the handle near the blade - I'd give them some more segments to make them smoother and give them a bump map to make them look more like rope (if that's what you intended)

I guess these are for close-in fighting, the ratio of the handles to the blades doesn't allow for high momentum, but I bet they'd hurt just the same. Great detail, good art..keep it up.
