The sky lends a wonderful surreal feel, and the reflected sunlight is awe-inspiring. I also like the reflection of the fine tree with painterly coloring..but I'm not sure about the shadow the tree casts. A captivating and very impressive fractalscape.

The "errors" in perspective create a surreal atmosphere like in rohi's images. The colours are exquisite. Perhaps you could blur/weaken the shadow of the tree, with a sun standing low in a misty sky it should not be so exact...

the tree shadow is a bit overstated

This is good! I would actually prefer to see the shadow even more pronounced - we're not expecting a photorealistic image, surely :)

Looks to me a very loneley place but i like the atmosphere what you have create there Very unusual clouds and sun(moon) combination but for some reason it looks good in balance The only strange thing in my eyes is that fract part above the horizon a little overact in my idea However its abstract and the there is much possible :-)

Freaken cool, Keith! "...and at long last, to the awe an wonder of elven-kind, the Sun rises in the east for the first time as the day-tree of Valinor, Telperion, stands darkened, its heart pierced by the sword of the evil Melkor - he whom was named Morgoth, liege-lord of Sauron, by the elven Noldor - and its life and the Light drained by the spider, Ungoliath, mother of Shelob and even the tears of Yavanna could not return its vigor...". WAY cool lighting and colors, Keith - like the sun rising and shining thru primordial gases at the beginning of time. The tree is a powerful symbol of life in the midst of desolation. Nice touches with the tree shadow and the light rays below the sun. Major nice one!

This is so Cool! I can't believe this beautiful world you have created. I am in awe, and this is now on my desktop. I wouldn't change anything, but if you did, I would think the reflection could be a little less distracting. I love the shadow of the tree. IMHO I think it completes the atmosphere. Don't change that!!

I absolutely love this surreal work with it's strange and captivating perspective. But like Linda I have my doubts about the shadow. Since it is the logic result of your two main focal points, the sun and the tree, I keep following it, and end up leaving your image in the lower left corner ... Think there is no easy answer to that. Making the shadow more outspoken could only enhance this effect, leaving the shadow out altogether, would leave your tree isolated and floating above the ground. Maybe another tree or captivating ground object in the right lower quarter of your composition could be a solution. Aaaaaanyway, as much solutions and advices as there are people ...grin... Stunner of a work, though!!!

Very nicely done! This reminds me of the wetlands of Florida, just past dawn. The pink sunlight sparkles off the marsh, and it's very gorgous!

The sun is incredible in this scene - surreal and fanciful and yet realistic at the same time. The colors are magical and the foreground is masterful, but I have to agree that the tree shadow is out of place, or at least, overdone. Wonderful art.
