Description
I took this becaues of the strange color
that seem to come from the shail cliff
not a big 1 about 20 feet,then I notied
the ceader tree so I laid down on my back
look up,this is what I saw,you see the
the roots growing off the cliff, but it
made me think of my family roots
& the one person that showed me nature's
tresures when I was so small my Grandpa
then the fire really made me think of
him and how much I miss him, it's been 30
years, but the beauty he showed me in
nature lives with me forever more
this is for him
thank you to everyone for your
kind words an support
that have helped me more
then you'll ever know on my last
post every day Hero's
Grandpa I Remember
Long ago it seems so faraway
Grandpa, and what he ment to me
He was a small man to other's, but to me
A giant with the biggest heart that could
ever be
As we walk along the dusty road
Hands in our pockets, whistling a tune
Bare black feet and dust all over me
Asking Grandpa Where,What,Why and how
Have these things come to be?
He smiles and laughs at me,
he's so patient
He tire's to answer me
Points out the wooly bear
A blue on a post oh so close to me
My eye's grow wide, and he smiles
At the wonder he see's in me
Now listen, and hear the cicada
in the tree
I remember Grandpa!it seems so long ago
I know you are always with me
Yet, I still long to by your side
As I did when I was so small
Grandpa I remember,
just maybe it was not so long ago

Moving memories of your grandfather. He must have been a warm and affectionate man! Roots, the place where we all come from, in our own distinct history. How good to know and to cherish these memories, of moments that made us who we are! Excellent work, Tina!

my love of animals and nature has been with me since i was born, animls would protect me and watch over me I always wanted to look at everything lol drove everyone nuts when I was really small never sat in one place over a minute, to many cool things to look at ,but he was the one that saw it in me and encoraged me to look at everything even the smallest of things could hold magical things, mom freaked out and ran the other way when I brought home a frog, toad, snake, spider thats when I was 2 years old lol my dad he shot thing, really hated that! so grandpa would laugh like mad when mom or grandma would wash my pants and put them through the ringer washer, lol and worms would squish out of my pocket, they screamed, I cried cause they killed my worms, lol so him and I would go find a wooly bear catipillar , he knew what made me happy thats all that mattered to him, thanks everyone
