Description

Appropriately the mount lived up to her name...We worked her hard and put her to bed hot...those who have had this experience with the machines of war understand how intimate the relationship is between flesh and steel...The machine becomes an extension of who you are and what you live for...You are its master and slave...It possesses the power of life...and death...If you and your crew have the courage and lady luck is riding with you...those babies will insure that you and alot of your Brothers and Sisters collect that ticket on the Freedom Bird back to the World... There ain't No Slack...ya gotta keep your shit tight. SALUTE! To all people, from every corner of this beautiful planet, who have volunteered to place themselves in harms way for the cause of Freedom. I honor the sacrifice you and your families are making and stand with you in your commitment to the people of the United States of America. Understanding that all men and women everywhere, need to live free. My heartfelt prayer is that every one of you will come home to your loved ones safe and sound. So keep your head screwed on straight and watch your six. SoloShado, aka,"Raspberry", G/65th Arty, ADA, Quad50's, 1969 From the Rockpile on the Z, to the A Shau Valley and points in between. Wow, my dad needs to see this one too! Wow! He served in the "Bloody Red one" 1st Infantry Division. in 65? Anyway, he talked about these boats, but I don't recall him taken photos of one. The pose looks familiar though :) Thanks for sharing. And thank you for your service!
