That is a HUGE compliment coming form you, I, as always, feel honored to have you like my work.
I live in a Military community, and have a deep respect for the people who have chosen it as their life, and the men and women who wait behind at home for them, scared, worried, lonely, but also, proud of their loved ones, as they should be.
A certain special someone says that I am an oxymoron, a "Patriotic Hippie". I consider that a good thing.

This country, never forget, was founded on the idea that people could move thru change without bloodshed... the peaceful exchange of power. Unheard of, really. Question loudly. The success of so many of America's principles depend on asking questions without fear or shame. The men and women who serve fulfill their duties, and there is honor in it. There's so much to the entire mess... my brother in law just invited me to a ten day tour as a guest on the carrier he serves on, spent far too long deployed on the Lincoln. He fulfills his duties with honor and pride. My duty is to respect what he does. My duty as a free citizen is to ask questions, to be heard, to refuse to follow blindly. Democracy is a trust. We are funding those troups with borrowed money, the lion's share of those loans are from communist china. Trillions in Debt. Far more than Reagan could have dreamed of. Laws had to be changed to allow for it. Repeatedly. That is a problem. No-one seems to want to answer for it. Pay those soldiers with communist dollars. Those who died before them fighting communism are not supported or honored. I don't like that one bit. You go study madison and jefferson and franklin and even washington (all of whom considered themselves to be liberals). Be the patriot they hoped you would be, not the patriot madison avenue tells you to be. Nice work.
