Description

Poser4,Bryce4,Photo-Paint My 2nd attempt at rendering with Bryce, after I finally figured out how to get trans-maps to work a little bit better. I am finding the learning curve to be much greater with Bryce than with Poser. I am having to add additional lighting all the time or else everything is almost black. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Nice image. I have found that adding light is almost always a must with Bryce. The hardest thing to do is make sure you don't overlight an area and mess up the shadow lines. If you talk to photographers they always use more than one light source so it's normal we should...

Argg.. Fantastic picture! That is a real fine render. Have you tried to de-saturate it, I think taking away some of the color would make it look like a photo, i know cuz I just tried :-)

Absolutely wonderful! My only comment, my only confusion, seems to be whether or not the rock is floating above the water or sitting in it...and am I nuts or can you see parts of her shoes in the reflection that you should not be able to...??

This is soooo beautiful. This is by far one of my favorites. It has such a relaxing feel for me. In fact I hope you don't mind but i'm using it as my computer wallpaper at work, i like it that much. but one question. How did you get the hair trans to work in bryce?

Thanks to everyone for commenting. It has been really helpful. It seems I am not the only one having trouble with trans-maps in Bryce since I've gotten a few messages about it. I basically tried messing around with the settings in the materials lab until it finally seemed to work. I don't think I am doing it the way it is supposed to be done though. Does anyone know the correct way to do it? For this picture I actually had to fix up the hair quite a bit in Photo-paint, so I wouldn't have even needed the trans-maps anyways. Thanks again to everyone. I hope I can improve with more helpful comments.
