Description

This is my first picture. Made with Terragen, id like to thank the authour of the beach tutorial. I still havent figured out how to colour the land properly. Im not very good yet, im sorry.

Very nice first effort! and don't apologise. Since you have (correctly) glommed onto the tutorial path, check out some on preparing surface maps. It's not hard. Mostly looking at nature and tweaking until something clicks. Check out galleries by Rich2, Buzzzzz, LutzB, Martchi, criss, martinjbirk, hillrunner, Noswo, Markal, choronr to see how it's done. Keep 'em coming.

Good first render. I'm relatively new to Terragen myself and have found many people working in this medium eager to give advice and help. Take the advice of stbc and check out their work.

Ive made a nice looking sunset since, but it would only let me post one image. Thankyou for your kindness and assistance. Will look into those tutorials when i get some time. Hopefully i will be allowed to post my sunset when i get home. Some of my friends have actually started using it as their PC desktop! Ive also got Poser, and have played with that. Made a picture of a woman going for a walk. I could figure some stuff out in that either, but i will also be looking into that when i get time.
