The darkness was great, with no light to see! I believed all the lies he had told to me. I did not resist, he knew I was weak His attentiveness knocked me right off my feet. He was crafty and quick and cool as can be The lies he told, he told with such ease. My heart was confused, my mind in a spin He set out a snare and I stepped right in! He kept me in bondage, a slave to my sin, He put on airs, he was exalted by men As prince of this world he convinced the weak That his way was fun and rewards we would keep.
