Description

When I was first looking at the view of this terrain I imagined medieval castles sitting atop those terraces. Same terrain field as 'Along the Edge,' but from a different perspective. WM, Terragen and ACDSee for post-work. Enjoy.

Nice terrain and pov.. but these white clouds don't fits with dark sky in my opinion, and try to reduce bumpiness / fractal noise for layers (specially grass layers : reduce bump and fractal and increase scale depth)

AGree with hillrunner about the bumpiness and fractal settings. I kind of like the dark sky and cool pov. Grassy layers are better if most are low bump and low fractal which yields a mossy, evenly distributed map instead of bumpy clumps. For overlying rocks and pebbles a bit of bump and fractal gives a bit of texture on top of smoother layers. Give it another shot and see if the surface resolution improves. :)
