Description

No postwork. I'm trying to improve my work on the background terrains. Here I got a special problem with the foreground tree on the right. The trunk looked like a cube, first I thought it's the hard shadow from the sun but I don't think that was the problem. Finally I put in several spotlights to get the trunk look round. Thanks for your comments and looking. BTW: First image I can't tell about noticible problems with VUE (feel I should get payed for this sentence). Credits: wooden hut by Joda

Great composition. I don't think that the trunk looks like a cube. I thinks it looks great!! The bark texture and the bump, the wave on the water, and the vegetation are beautiful!!

I especially like the tree bark and tree branch lying down. The ducks seem to add a nice touch and view is really nice. Well done.

Very nice composition. Youve managed to get a really good looking tree as well. About the "cube look" (which is gone) maybe the XFrog model is too low resolution, try increasing the number of polys on the trunk and perhaps the first level branches (by default they have a triangular profile, I often increase this to six or eight sides).
