Description
Just what I like on a lazy Saturday morning, a comfy chair, a nice thick carpet, a cup of coffee, lots of sunlight and a good book or two...
A three-fold exercise, I made the chair as I wasn't entirely happy with the freebie one I had found, I got tinkering into the noise filter with the carpet (a freebie photo-tex, I'll say thanks now because I can't remember where I found it) and a lighting exercise. Radiosity was not used in this image.

Updated to fix the over-active noise as per kromekats suggestion, tweak back the reflection a bit (the floors in my place are that shiney!) and add radiosity using only the window lights.

Oh yes - very nice atmosphere and mood! :) - would be nice to see a radiosity version too though! - you might want to increase the samples in the dirt shader at the edges of the floor - looks a bit too noisy at the moment.

I agree with the dirt shader and I think the floor has to much reflection. Beautifull mood.

i love the carpet. 2 critques tho. make the edges less dirty and make the heater more white. it looks like it is untextured. overall it is an awesome image. iam glad you didn't use the freebie chair. :)

You have taste in books and design! Mies van der Rohe's 'Barcelona' chair & ottoman are well executed... in reality, the cushions are slightly thicker though (would love to have this model Richard)... and most of all I like how you would spend a Saturday morning... it's all about 'LIFESTYLE'!
