Description

I am still adding some additional details to the imperial star destroyer, but this one was mostly done for lighting practices. I am still not sure about the look, but I feel I am getting closer to the filmed plastic model look of the original movies, which is absolutely my intention. I do not think that it is really possible to get an ISD to look really realistic. I added some FOD-Blurring to suggest the size of that juggernaut. Hope you like it, even if it is just some kind of work-in-progress-model-study-thingy. ;P Credits for the basic model as with the pictures before and many thanks to http://www.stardestroyer.net/ for exellent reference photos and development sketches that help me a lot improving the details in this model.

Excellent point of view! Nice model and lightning. Only the background is bit boring, maybe some TIEs might change that.

I'think a planet in the background would look decent...

Wow - this is your model!?? - well done - looks like it's up there with the existing cream on sc-fi3d! - got any wires? - the DOF doesn't increase the scale though, it makes it look smaller - like a miniature model or was that the intention!?

Terrific lighting... I have to agree with the DOF comment... it does make this look like a scale model.

Very Fine. This is a nice work. Yes, ...the background... a little more action around this ship would be better. Greetings, Nath

Nice model! I agree with the blur, think it would look even better without it.

That depth of field makes it look very very small - if you want it to look like a model than it's good, but the ISDs in the movies have a lot less DOF I recall and the DOF here causes it to look small, not big (cameras don't go out of focus like that when view large things). Other than that, great job!
