Description

This was fun to work on. Set up in Poser, then exported straight from there to Bryce for the render. I earned extra credit in Photoshop. Scooter (Sharkey) and helmet (Maveris) are free items from RuntimeDNA. That place is awesome. I've always loved the look of the pulps from the 40's and 50's. I'm looking forward to doing more. Thanks for lookin' ;) - Will

AHA! Someone else using the free scooter and helmet from runtime dna LOL! This is fantastic. As others have said you have really captured the 1940's - 1950's sci-fi pulp image wondefully! Right I am off to check out your gallery. EXCELLENT work.

Now this is my kind of sci-fi - so much cooler and classier than today's insistence on technical realism. Give me this over 'Matrix-esque' images anyday.

If Dan Dare had ever laid eyes on her he would never have gone off on so many space missions

Wonderfully done! I love the feel of the whole thing. The render, design, colors and detail are impeccable. VERY Pulpish! The Smithsonian Magazine had an article on pulp art recently and I just got a great book on it. Check out these sites when you have a chance. Cheers! www.pulp-it.com and www.pulpcards.com and www.smithsonianmag.com/smithsonian/issues03/aug03/pulpart.html
