Wowza! Great job! Especially the textures on her skin, hair, and clothes. Unfortunately, it's too dark to see the textures on the wings (it actually took me a minute to realize that's what they are). The wings seem to be a bit flat, in that regard. They almost work as just an area of black to help frame her... but not quite. My other issue is the texture of the cross. It's very dull compared to the work you did on her (of course, she is the focus, so I can't blame ya, there). All in all, it's a really great image that captures a very pensive angel of darkness in a somber mood. In fact, the darkness might be the problem... I know she's a "Gothic Goddess," but she's almost too dark to see. Nevertheless, a VERY great job, and I want to add that I really like the sky. Vibrant, energetic, and filled with the afterglow of barely restrained menace.

Superb rendering and the wings are truly magnificent! Those of us who 'know' the winged ones need not search...the darkness is never a 'problem'! LOL Take heart and my best wishes!

ohhhhhh i love this pic, very very much.. the concept is excellent! the only thing is the wing shape looks abit weird, but considering the wings that you're using (I know the model is really hard to bend properly, I've tried before), this is superb work!!! many many compliments, so glad to have you posting for the contest, I love the mood captured here.

I too love the pose, that fact that she isn't loooking directly at us adds to the image! The lighting is great, and is the entire image!
