Isn't it interesting how living things and even some inanimate objects, when kept away from light, develope unusual colorings. Maybe to help them gather nutrients or to perceive their environment somehow, or to attract prey like the fish that live deep in the ocean. These guys certainly have developed something like that, a strange iridescent surface with great looking colors. Excellent work!
