I think you mastered the light very well. The shadows underline the relief of the sculpture and show the sandy surface very well.
The background is like a little shock, esp. when I scroll the image from bottom to top. The sculpture makes me expect a festive background and then it seems as if it was cut out of its normal surrounding and placed into a city which does not care for it :-) A very unusual effect. And I think - just as it has to be...
