I signed up at Renderosity in 2000 and spent a few years being inspired by some great artists around here, and learn from them. I was moderator for the Vue forum here at Renderosity from 2004 to 2008. If you want to learn about Vue, or share some tips, I encourage you to visit us. I am currently drifting away from pure CG and more into digital painting. I wish your staying at Renderosity will be as warm and instructive as it has been for me.
BIO
I was born in France and currently living in the USA. I have a technical background in Computer Science and a strong attraction for anything related to graphism (from visualizations, image analysis to photography and computer graphics). For the past few years, my work in CG has developed into something a little more serious than a hobby, with growing aspiration to turn it into something professional.
I also have a personal website at : Linfa.net. It is growing slower than I would like but hopefully it is worth visiting. Among other things, this site contains my main gallery, a section dedicated to Computer Graphics called Tricks and Treats and a link to my Store, where you can purchase t-shirts, posters, calendars and other products using some of my designs.
My 'trilogy' of tools is Poser for characters, Vue Infinite for atmospheres and rendering and Photoshop for touching up. I am currently practicing with Painter (not much to show so far) and learning modeling with Hexagon and Zbrush.

This is a really fabulous piece. Didn't see the earlier one, so can't compare - but this is great work.

Fabulous! The composition is great and there was so much attention in the details - very well done!!

Lighting definitely could use work. Also, just since you seem to strive for detail, fix the chessboard to an appropriate layout. See my picture 'insomniac' for C.S. Lewis' chess game. The shooka is a nice touch.

Wow. There is so much to look at; you've got all of the elements from the story - was this just Poser? Great job.

Alice is from "Rubio's room" (fantastic japanese site with ISOP and Kozaburo). The cat is the standard poser cat with a texture from the free area. Animals are from 3D cafe. I don't remembered where the attic model comes from. The whole thing is rendered in Vue 4.
Poppi
Oh, this is cool. I'm givin' it a pop...pop...pop!
