We've had stone walls, brick walls, cinderblock walls, dry walls, fire walls; now feather walls. What next (feather beds)? It sure looks like some avian friends won't be flying south this winter, nor will they be participating in mating rituals in the foreseeable future. But, despite their sacrifices, they can rest a peace in the knowledge (do the dead have knowledge? Do they need it?) that their down has been admirably preserved for posterity in a most excellently colored and detailedly textured image. Let us hope they don't have digital artists who decide to reciprocate by decorating their nests with a redbeard hair wall!
