This is one of those images I created in order to practice hair painting and lighting effects. I would love to hear what you think...

Ok, I am fairly new to Poser and I do not have alot of knowledge, but here is my suggestions. I think your hair looks pretty good, but seems to need just a little more depth (either more dark or lighter strands). The dress is not I think what you want hints on, but just in case, the dress seems to need a little softning around the edges. The lighting on the other hand is a little confusing for me to explain. It seems to be coming from to different places. The wall is darker in a place that seems to need to lighter (just behind her). I hope that helps and in general it looks like you are doing well. Good luck in your continued learning.

I messed around with Poster a little and can appreciate what it takes to do some the things I see people do. I said hell with it and went back to my love "Terragen. LOL I think the hair is very convencing and the Lighting is successful as well. I like the background to! Bravo Amanda!

She looks so soft and stunning in that dress. Soft and beautiful creamy skin texture!! I love that expression on her face, and the hands are so delicate and posed beautifully. Hands on hips tell a story all their own. Your hair painting is really well done, and I think you're doing wonderful. You seem to be a very fast learner and it shows with every new artwork!! :)

It looks very good, the hair is drawn beautifully. The only thing I can think of is to lower the hair line a bit.

You did a great job on the hair! Looks very good - soft and it hangs well. Although I agree with indivia that the hairline should be adjusted. Also, just one other thing - on the sides of her face & neck, you can see highlights. You can tell that she was rendered with no hair. Just paint in some shadows (especially on the neck) using a separate layer (medium gray, around 30-50% transparency), and that should do the trick! The hair texture itself is great though. And I love the background!

The outline and flow of the hair is well done. Newpy is right in that it needs more depth/tones/highlights. Her hair line is really natural looking. Months ago I posted a tutorial on creating dramatic shadows in the postwork phase. You might want to check it out-I hope you find it of some use.

I agree mostly with newpy, the hair has fantastic shape, but needs some shadows and could use some more colors, dodge and burn are great tools for that, if you have them in your paint program, also agree that the dress could use a just a bit of softening around, you could use the blur tool for that... you're off to a fabulous start!
