Description

It feels good to work on a Lord of the Rings image again--this was also a practice in high-res terrains and texturing in photoshop. Thanks to everyone who commented or left feedback on my last few images, it has been a slow summer for me, and you guys are really helping me pick everything up again:) Thanks for taking a look!

Yep, looks like it, just saw "Return of the king" the other day, I know, I'm kind of behind on that...lol. Very nice looking terrains on this one, and good composition wit the sky (photo I persume ?) Is this final, or just beggining of something...Nevertheless, I like it a lot !!! :)

Practice? Looks good to me. I really like the sepia color of this and I like what you did with the clouds. Excellent work.

Excellent work Jordan and good to see you back posting!.... The richness of the colours work well for the image, I found myself scanning the scenery looking for small figures on the landscape! .... "Don't worry about the spells where nothing seems to come, we all go through it! .... Inspiration and interests have a unique way in re-sufacing, ... these short breaks in our work flow, are good opportunities to look for improvements within our own work and new directions if needed! .... It's also a great opportunity to see what other artists are doing, more than not! ...inspiration will come this way".

What's to say!?!? Magnificent terrain, magnificent textures, magnificent sky. To my eye there's something a bit odd about the clouds floating in front of the peak, though. They don't look convincing.

wow! These mountains are looking absolutely mindbuggling! Excellent work! You're a master with Bryce. I have to agree with Pogmahone though; the clouds doesn't look as convincing as the terrains. Still, a great render! :)
