Description
Before I start my vacation in the tyro lean Alps I show you
a mountain near Vienna (one hour car drive) which I frequently
climb. It is called Rax and it is one of the three viennese
so called "Hausberge" ("Rax", "Schneeberg" and "Hohe Wand")
All of them less than 2000 meter high, but to climb them takes some hours.
This is the first of a short series about Rax and shows
the first rock wall you can see if you go to the "Alpenvereinssteig"
which is a "Klettersteig" (a fixed rope route). I use it for training.
I intend to post more exiting photos from high walls than this in the series about the Rax. I hope you like it as appetizer :-)
