Good lord.. I've really got to get on this whole update thing, don't I?
Â
Tell you what... I'll promise to try, if you all promise to believe me and forgive me when I forget again, yes?
Â
Awesome!
See? Everyone wins :)
Let's see.. Where were we? Ah yes.. I'd left RDNA, my home away from home due to growing physical issues that were preventing me from working. Hardly seemed fair for me to stay there that way, as there were so very many incredibly talented artists capable of fulfilling the quota required and here I was busy getting my spinal nerves burnt off.
Nevertheless, I am alive and remarkably enough, actually on the road to recovery at long last. When I began my therapy a few years ago, it was presented as something along the lines of a 'once in a while thing' and that I'd be back to normal ( or as 'normal' as I get, anyway) in no time.
That was what.. 2? 3 years ago now? That will teach me to listen to doctors.
ANYWAY..
Yes. Better is good. I got here without the help of the medical community, ironically enough. By the time they had finished with me I was unable to walk without a cane and told to expect a wheel chair within 6 months. That was 7 months ago and I've been without a can for three of those and in less pain for two.
Can anyone say 'Insurance milking'?
Ahh see? I knew you could :)
So here I am. Painting on commision now and working in 3d and doing the texture thing here as well again. It's nice, even if it isn't like it used to be. I still adore doing it and thus being ABLE to do it doesn't suck either, no?
And there we have it. An actual update! Try to contain your wonder ;)
Now perhaps I will get less emails from people wondering where I am and where all my stuff went! :P
Â
Peace.

now this... this is just so... well, just so - period... were it not for the pose itself, my eyes would stay glued to her magificiently displayed throat, and as it is, they do wish to linger there [it makes me think of things unsaid, the almost withered and sunken in neck, atrophied vocal cords, and yet a hint of strain to get it out]... but even moreso is that pose, and all the things it brings to mind, symbolically, metaphorically, and the way in which it forces me to look at her, commanding my eyes to train down & then back up & and down to rest again... very thought-provoking [if you couldn't tell...heh]

To say the least, I was more than happily surpised to see you post. Unexpected. Kat said it so well and I would only fumble to say something intelligent without being saturated with coffee first. :) The texturing lends an amazing feel to this...freaky and quite impressive. I do admit that I get entranced by the throat but yet, I as well, can't help but looking up and down the body as it is intriguing and honestly perfectly painted. My kind of art. Ok, I think I will shut up now before I start sounding like a complete moron! pheh.

Beautiul, prolific and disturbing in way that makes me stare and study the image for a long time. I second the comments above, but would like to add a squeeee....pounce!

This is most excellent Stacey! Wow!

A secret character of a dreamlike drama. Somebody that is visualized better of glance than directly. Royalty in the features and disease in the body. Eyes of sleeping to see it beyond. Everything shines as gold..... a profanation wealth and dominance. Perfect. Excellent!!!

wow, very intense. such a powerful image. excellent execution - the size of the image is just right, the way you cropped it in the arms make it even more dramatic - her arms and hands are not important she is totally powerless. fantastic work.
