this is very good attemp ..i like the electron micro scope look you have pulled this off very well ....the only thing i would change if it was me....is to deform and flatten the point of impact where the needle enters the egg....check out pete draper`s example at http://www.xenomorphic.co.uk/images/cell.jpg
