Description
The Story of Big Tom. Big Tom lived around a bait shop in a marina in Gulfport, Ms. for a couple of years. When hurricane George struck the coast, I believe it was 1994, Big Tom sought shelter in a tree close to the bait shop. After everything calmed down Tom refused to come down from his tree. The bait shop people built him a shelter in the tree and gave him food and water. Soon everyone in the marina took him under their wing and he became the best fed cat in the area. He became a tourist must see, and they left food and monny with the bait shop owner(not needed by the way) Tom lived a great life and was the subject of countless photos. He lived a very happy life in his tree for several years. Then one of our local "do gooders" deceided he was not happy and stole him from his tree one night. A sympatheitc Vet. took away his manhood at the ladys insistence, and Tom died two months later.
