Me and my beloved sailor...never so far apart....never so close.

Although I've been a member here a long time, I have had little opportunity these past few years to savor the joy of posting my art and commenting on the work of those I admire and have had a friendship with. Family and medical has taken precedence in my life, even to the point of not being able to sit long enough at a computer to work. So now that things are looking a bit brighter and I am feeling better, I hope to once again post and comment! I have so missed this circle of talented people with their warmth of soul and passion of art. -- Feb. 22 ' 08

Wonderful piece! .... Are you writing current pieces, also? .... would be interesting to see how time has affected you and your writings.

I still say you should publish your work, and I would be first in line to buy it. If I could write like you, these would be the words I would use, because it feels almost like your life was a direct reflection of my own...past and present. Excellent work once again.

The anguish and frustration is so apparent in this beautiful poem ... as is the courage and dtermination of the writer. No situation should be entirely hopeless, though it very sadly all too often seems that way. Excellent read.

Sadly there are caged hearts that no amount of love can open, for they simply cannot love themselves. Very strong writing. :o) CC

I don't know how you do it. Perfectly mirror what I'm feeling at the moment! It's "uncanny". Thank you for sharing your pain and suffering with such grace. I hope one day to be as eliquoent.

I loved this poem. Such a feeling in the words. And the story...so much broken hearts in this world, so much to be saved and healed.

Wow! That is beautiful. Stunning story weaving and imagery. Sad, but true for some who are so afraid as to open their hearts. What a sense of will and determination you have expressed here. Wonderful writing!
