I agree, you are off and running. I can just start to see the Walther-esque detail coming out on the barrel. If you can get just a little more edge on that, the detail will help to define the Mak's personality. Though the Mak is an elegant and smooth weapon, I'm thinking this one is just a tad too smooth. Also, the handle is a bit wide, it seems to me. Does your Mak have a wood grip with the star? I most often see the star grip in plastic. All these critiques aside, I think this is a fantastic model for someone who claims to be a beginner. Excellent start.

Nice work for the beginning. However it is too smooth and rounded and lacks sharp defining edges, lots of details and a good texture. I hope you will continue posting your models and I am sure you will get those aspects done with some time. All in all: Not bad for a first try. Most first try works are a hell lot worse. Thumbs up! :)
