Description
Here we are...at the meeting place to the Ice Cave! We had to wait for our guide and the attraction was a flower child (Hippie LOL) who was eating the whole time, because he didn't want to carry a heavy bag anymore.
And all who are waiting to see shots of the ice cave I must disappoint ;o( . In the cave I had to put away my Nikon, because it was FORBITTEN to shoot inside. They told us the flashlights are harmful for the ice. About that I felt very sad!
To the entrance we had to walk on a very small way around the rocks behind the tiny hut you see in the pic. We got to a sudden big hole in the rock wall. Outside we had a temperature about 26 grad and with one step inside you have 0 grad. In the winter the cold air got in and cannot get out in summer, because there is no other way out in the back of the cave.
It was a fantastic feeling to stand on 30 m ice layer and you walk deep into it with a karbit-lamp!

Hehe... the Hippie wasn't pleased you took him eating. He didn't want to carry a heavy bag anymore, you say?... so he prefered to carry the weight in his stomach grin A handsome flower child he is smiles Those images inside the cave are breathtaking!

Pity about the ice-cave, but hey you cant have everything... sadly :D At least you got to see it ! Excellent shot here lol never thought of it myself but Monika is right about the weight thing lol

I think the flash would have been too weak anyway in the large icecave hall. A tripod and long exposure time would have done better. A very original guy sitting an eating there :-) Thanks for the link.
