Description

Apophysis 2b21, PSP Thanks to CarolSassy for the hint! What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man, You cannnot say, or guess, for you know only A heap of broken images, where the sun beats, And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief, And the dry stone no sound of water. -T.S. Eliot, "The Waste Land", 1922 Thanks for viewing, and thinking!

A poetic title for this unique and beautiful organic offering..and I love Eliot. Love the intricate and thorny cross-weave. A creative and excellent interp of the title.

I really like this...there is a plant from Madagascar called 'crown of thorns' with woody branches covered in thorns. That's what I thought of when I saw this...Excellent work. ;o)

My, but aren't we upbeat this morning? Terrific image to match great poetry (old T.S. would have been pleased methinks - if he could be pleased by aught but his cats). Beautiful coloring and form on this spikey little menace whose roots I have no doubt can clutch and grow boldly no matter how stoney the rubbish soil of this sometimes bleak wasteland. Really love your provocative works - even when they're visioning the bleaker sides of imagining! RIK

Yeah. This is one of your best. But what in the hell is a fractal and how in the hell did you make it?

A most beautiful passage to introduce this almost austere yet gorgeous flame, Jack. There is hope in the hues of their tentative reachings... and a tenacity in their certainty of place. An excellent image... :) ...*

Fabulous image. Your title fits so well and yet the branches have such a surreal feel to them. Almost a danger. Very unique creation. And your words set against your image make for a wonderful composition.
