Another nicely done image, that is a step apart. The grainy filter is such a nice addition to this one, as like the other. The colors in this are soft, but the object is clear.

A great presentation! The poem segment is terrific, I will have to read this in it's entirety. Great image, some truly unusual forms that realy capture my imagination and reflect the words in many ways. Excellent!

Unique shapes...very cool image. I like the colors and the sandy texture you have chosen. The black outlines do make it look hand drawn. Cool!

There are so many kinds of deaths and shadows, and they are but another part of life. Evolve and survive, and a beautiful illustration of the phenomenon.

I see larvae (new life) emerging from the body (carcass) of a bird and being consumed or about to consume or be consumed by a winged insect; life consuming life to stay alive another day carved in stone (a tombstone? a cardinal rule?). Even without the lovely segment of poetry, you've created visual poetry that causes the viewer to re-examine feelings and values; very powerful. This - to me - is real art and I thank you for sharing it in this medium instead of hanging it on the wall of a museum for only a few to see. I guess it's fair to say that the eternal questions torture the mind and soul eternally (but without them, where would be the fun and the mystery; without one, how could there be two?)! VOTE Rik

I really like this one, Dirk. I see some sort of insect; whatever it is, it's certainly alive.

A marvelous shape. Very interesting. Nice coloring. Yes, we are still here. The battles are both small and great, but somehow we survive. The nature of man is to survive.

It was the texturing that first caught my eye. I really like the graininess, then the soft shades and the rounded shapes added a delicate softness to the overall picture, but those sharp points add a deadliness to this as well. A sharp clear image and the poem works so well with it. Another excellent piece from you!
