Description

The hot spring and hot summer last year caused nature to accelerate the season with a few weeks, so that the first proclaimers of fall already appear. Like this flower, not a normal crocus but the autumn crocus (Colchicum autumnale). Like the crocuses in spring these autumn crocuses pop out of the ground in a multitudinous way though not in comparable densities like Megalocrocus helvetica or Crocumulus. Wow it is fall already? Doens't feel that way here yet, at least not for a few months yet, November will feel like fall, This crocus almost looks like our water lillies, excellent image Jan! :)
