Description
This has taken my a great deal of time and work and well it was hard to do. My father passed away July 7 2004 its hard knowing that I will no longer have these times with him. To sit on his lap when I was a lil girl or be in his arms to watch the sunset. To hear him tell stories of when he was a child. I stand alone now but I will always cherish these memories of him like a worn painting that has aged through time my memories will keep me warm when I feel the cold air of his loss ...each day will be better as the pain lessens but as I worked on this piece I felt the pain renewed in my heart and them warmth as it was finally finished. Maybe that was why it was hard to do this piece as I knew when it was finished it was my final goodbye to someone who loved me like no other... goodbye daddy I love you always....

Shawna,I for one understand your loss and have been hoping this would eventually come to be as I know your computer gave you fits.As you know,my mother died almost a month before your father and I know how important this was...for me there was a lot of anger and its still there aimed not at my mother but those responsible for her death.I have nothing but fond memorys of her and I for one know just how important this was for you...I am so glad you finished this image and I am so sorry for your loss.

Please know that your loss is felt by many. That's the anodyne that art gives us, I suppose. The work itself is interesting, and I find the solemnity of it very touching. Thanks for your fine work.
