\Migrus volucris"cuniculus '\, n. I found this 'small winged rabbit' in the dry hollow of a tree in my back yard. I'd heard of these adorable creatures before, but I didn't think they liked the Brisbane climate - obviously this one had a taste for warmer weather, or perhaps she was seeking a mate. She seemed safe and cosy and I was careful not to disturb her nest. She was so cute and tiny, no bigger than the palm of my hand.
