Description

Photography + Photoshop This was my participant work to the RIM cover contest. Even to my own surprise it did rather well (2nd runner-up), although I was aiming at the top. :) I started to construct the image by photographing a friend of mine (her name is Paula, if anyone wonders...). After that I took the pictures and made the two opposite sides: The Trick side (left) and the Treat side (right). The image is as far off from regular "Pumpkins, zombies and skeletons" Halloween, since here in Finland we really don't celebrate Halloween. But I guess a different angle is always welcome, since I couldn't help noticing that the ammount of pumpkins in the competition was enormous... :D The image center is aligned to left on purpose to give more room to the Treat-side. This because I'm a naive person and believe that good things prevail.

I reallly like how you misalinged her face to exjurate the split and yet make it look organic and dynamic. The high contrast and saturation make it look extremly dream like.

The nice side reminds me of the cover of Marilyn Mansons book, and the evil side reminds me of the american version of "Ring". Its nice.
