Description

After a short hike of about 100 meters my niece and I reach eventually Hinterburgseeli (1514 m), a small lake above Axalp. The color of this lakes makes me wonder what the bottom will be made of. Jewels? Hmmmm.... The emerald color changes with the weather. It is lunchtime and we sit down to enjoy our lunches. However, some rain is starting to fall. Oh oh! We decide to enjoy our meal under the umbrella and we eat our bread close together while watching the falling rain. We are intrigued by this lake with its kaleidoscopic changing colors. uh oh...hope your bread didn't get soggy! What a beautiful image!!!! Yes I think the bottom MUST be made of jewels because this place sparkes and shines...even in the rain!!! i love those sparkling rain drops on the water! and how much fun you and your niece must have had looking at the ever-changing kaledescopic colors and shapes swirling in the water!!! I love doing stuff like that...looking for shapes and patterns in the nature around me. A beautiful, beautiful image!!! A great place for your picnic!! vote!

Great decision not to leave when the rain came. Love those mountain-lakes with their deep colours.
