Description
We packed up the weiners and the puters and went on a little Yosemite Adventure for a few days.
This shot, with Half Dome in the background, was taken with our Olympus.
Did a little enhancing in Photoshop to make it have a more painterly effect.
We had a little surprise when we arrived at our destination at the Redwoods Cottages in Yosemite Park.
It seems that LJ bought this fancy cooler/heater combo chest
to keep all of our stuff cold/
It plugs right into the car and doesn't need ice.
Well... after a days worth of driving, stop-over at a motel,,
we arrive about 24hours later to find that all of our food,
including fruit, butter, dog food, etc, was very nicely COOKED! Yup, he plugged it in backwards. :o) So we had to toss it all.,
And the adventure begins...
We have dial up and hopelly will get a few more shots posted.

Wow.. camped within that view way back before we were married. There was NO-one in the park in late May. Shows how long ago that was.. snow in the campground... lost my virginity! :-) Wonderful image and thank you for the great memory.

Ahh the adventures of camping they never cease to amaze me. When I was around 13 my family and 3 other families camped on some river in central texas. First day, everyone took to the boats and skied and had a blast, well on returning to the camp, all food was strown about half was eaten, things torn down. All by a herd of HORSES that had gotten out of their pasture.

You are going to have a great vacation. This is just beautiful. I'd love to see the photo itself, too. This has got to be some of the most gorgeous country anywhere.

I had my fill of camping out! Backpacked it when my daughter was 5 days old and that was the beginning. Now my idea of camping out is when room service is late! LOL ;) Great image--looks like an oil painting!

LOL...oops...there's nothing you have to hate more than plugging in the cooler backwards. What stunning scenery! There's just something so incredible about untouched land and it's beauty, and you've captured that so perfectly with this shot. Brilliant photo and effects!
