Description

This is a photo of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, looking towards the Newcastle side of the Quayside. It's taken behind glass from the viewing platform of the Baltic Centre. I've been trying for weeks to get onto the viewing platform, but it's closed when it's raining, and as it seems to have rained all summer in the north-east of England, it's not been easy! Finally, this morning I managed to get there before the rain set in again. There are great views along the River Tyne. The building you see through the eye of the bridge is Newcastle Law Court. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for viewing and for taking the time to leave any comments, which I really appreciate. Looking at this bridge I can easily understand why Newcastle and Gateshead are famous about their architecture. You have captured this bridge very well.. Great picture.
