Description
As usual, terragen for background, LW for the rest. Thanks to all for the nice comments. Answer to Technogeek (nice name btw, sure to attract babes with a name like that) : I lost aerobraking3 picture.
I'll also try to post in Imagine3d one of these days.
Well, here we are, almost on the ground, but nice touchdown or crash...you'll known it soon.

Richard,...you are aware that Terragen exports lwo terrains aren't you...or are you using backgrounds for economy of render time...cool render BTW,....see my post at the Terragen forum...

yes it' true, Terragen exports LW mesh, but a terragen background is still superior, IMO, to a LW rendered mesh. I use Bryce actually, to draw the terrain, then export it as a LW mesh (textured)and/or in 3DEM as an elevation DEM. Then 3DEM exports a LW meshes and/or a brushmap elevation map calculable under Terragen. All this is very redundant, but the important thing, agaim IMO, is that Terragen gives the best render of far dustant bacground. The big issue is to superimpose 3d objects, including real meshed terrains, smoothtly in the scene.
