Description

Not really a whole lot to say, a decent amount of work went into getting this set up perfectly, I hope you enjoy. Leave a comment if you can, they're always appreciated. I also need some feedback on my technique for this image, as it's something I haven't really done a lot of in the past.

I'm really searching for something to give you feedback on and the only thing I can really say is the lightsource seems strange. I am assuming it is not the candle because there is no flame, but it seems as if it is. Other than that tiny thing the whole image is photographic. In other words, perfect.

Yeah the main light source is above/behind the candle the rest is ambient lighting from around the room.

Nice work! I see you put a lot of work into individual piece mats, especially the wood.

Wow, fabulous! I want that bonsai, but I'd only end up killing it (oh its virtual). Would love a tut on how you get and apply your wood textures. Also, I love that frame, how'd ya do that one? The only thing bothering me is that reflection on the candle. But thats just me. The whole thing is superb, despite how little time it took you to do it. Oh and did I tell you how glad I am you've come back? :-D

Ornlu... At first glance I would have thought this a photograph, and a mighty good one at that, if it didn't come from you. Incredible realism as always... I would like to comment on the wood though... it looks polished with the reflection of the plant but at the same time it has a rather rough material. As to the light source, it seems fine to me, like someone has the light in the room on while the candle remains unlit. I know I could never achieve this kind of realism so I really shouldn't nitpick... Awesome and a V.

Fantastic realism that fools the eyes. Most excellent work!

You may try the unsharp mask instead of the sharpening - that always looks a lot better than the sharpening filter, and comes in better as well.

Difficult to tell what's real and whats Bryce. Is the candle real or Bryce, is the carved wood real or Bryce. it's amazing when you can't tell.

Geez, Ornlu...how incredible this is!! I'm still staring at it trying to figure out which ones actually are real, but it looks like ALL of the objects are! Bravo!!
