Description

As we grow older, we all lose bits and pieces of our youthful ways. It could be a fraction of our stamina or even the ability to laugh at a knock-knock joke, our minds and bodies must make way for an increasingly complex adult lifestyle. But, for some, if by force or by choice, this part of them is erased completly, dooming their youth to suffer great emotional loss and to be forgatten in some dark and drerry place. I think we all know someone like this....................... ...............................remind them. Mark

i've been waiting to comment...had a rough couple of days but really not so bad when you think about what others are going through. i'm almost 41. I'm a big kid at heart, and i will always be "Little Sheila." So you can imagine, I love what you said. I'm getting older, have arthritis, and some other problems. Getting old...well...what can i say except if we keep our spirit and soul youthful, it will help us as we age and face what lies ahead. Regarding your image, those balls represent growing older and how growing older is trying to knock down our youth. We're supposed to act certain ways, be certain things, do "adult" stuff when what we really want is to play video games, play football with the guys, or run around at the mall with our girlfriends. We can't let those "maturity balls" knock us down. We gotta run from them...run like the wind! I really love your image and what you said. It's very thought-provoking and wise. A philsophical piece that i love!!! thanks and vote!

Right now I'm only 15, but even I can understand what you mean. As I grow up in this stage of life I often find myself unhappy with both the adult and childlike lifestyles. I hope I never grow up so much I've grown out of all my youthful ways. Wonderful words with a wonderful image. V

I agree with who ever said 'disturbing', but it's in a good way....the POV is fantastic for the content.

That's a strange image. But it works well I should say. Lookin at this I enjoy it but have no happy feelings at all... maybe because of that feeling of something lost. Excellent work.
