Description

Tired of the candidates? Vote for the party of love! Why not? I was looking for something to model, and my g/f said to model a heart... so I did. Modeled in Wings and rendered in Bryce5 :)-- don't forget to register, we're closing in.

It's funny, I was working on these same type of candy hearts, but you did much better than I did. Kudos...

Ah, well actually (if you used wings3D) I was able to create this quite easily by using the extruded top face of a cylinder-- proceeding to manual manipulate each vertex to the heart shape. From there I just extruded the face and beveled the edges to give the heart a rounded look. Then I just auto-smoothed a bit and created the text in Wings. I arranged the first three in Wings (the ones with text) and then placed the rest of the hearts in Bryce, using a simple bump map for for the texture and a dull mirror for the ground surface. I then applied some basic post work for saturation and contrast.
