Description
In the shadow of the high mountains the famous resort of Grindelwald is situated. It takes some time before the sun reaches this village in the early morning. In winter this peaceful place suffers little danger of avalances. The southern inclines (left) are too steep to collect much snow and the northern inclines (right) are appropriately protected by forests.
The partial with snow covered precipice on the left (not the white summit) is the notorious Eiger Nordwand (3970 m, 13025 ft) where many climbers did not survive their desire to conquer the mountain from this side. I like to hike in the mountains, not doing this kind of dangerous ventures.
I invite you to join me on this hike to the Oberer Grindelwaldgletscher (Upper Grindelwald Glacier). The valley just in front of the Eiger (left) is the outlet of the Unterer Grindelwaldgletscher and the glacier we are going to visit has just a similar outlet, streaming slowly through a deep valley surrounded by high mountains. Do you come along?

I LOVE valleys!!!! Such an incredible, dreamy place, excellently captured! i wonder about the people who live here...what their lives are like. When i was a child, i used to lie in the grass, stare into the clouds and daydream. I'd see a plane and that would make me think about the people there, thinking what THEIR lives were like. The blues and greens here are incredible!!! I can't wait to see more!!!!! Is there chance of finding some berries?
